about the art muse
Art has always been a passion since i first laid hands on colourful crayons as a child. So when I'm hit with the question, "How long have you been doing art," I am at a loss for words. Art has been my best friend since forever.
Hi. I'm Joyee. And this is my art blog.
I started this blog as an initiative to share my beautiful journey through this vast expanse of colour and creativity. If there's one thing I have to say, I'd say that there are no written rules for art. Art comes from within. The more you experiment, the more you create. That in fact is how I've found my way through realism. Smearing graphite all over the white pages and shaping it into a beautiful potrait is my style of creating art. Yes it gets messy. But is it worth it? Absolutely.
Currently I'm a full time medical student and a part time artist specialising in realism. Generally, I enjoy working with graphite, charcoal and acrylics although I am eager to experiment with other media, especially gouache and oil paints. Few other hobbies of mine include reading, listening to music, dancing and playing the ukulele.
Speaking about reading, my favourite books are The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner, Posion Study by Maria V. Snyder and Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. When it comes to music, I'm a fan of hyperpop, artpop, indie and alt z.
Finally, welcome to my world of art and magic.
Love,
Joyee.
